On Wednesday, Sept. 17, a Central Perk pop-up shop will be opening in New York City in honor of the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Friends. Inside, the gift and coffee shop is modeled after the place Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey spent most of their time. Yes, you can sit down on THE famous orange couch and enjoy a cup of coffee, courtesy of Eight O’Clock Coffee. You can also watch episodes while enjoying a special blend just for Friends fans, the Central Perk Roast.

MATT LeBLANC: There’s only five people in the world who know exactly what being on Friends was like, other than me. There’s five of them. David, Matthew, Lisa, Courteney, and Jen. That’s it. Marta and David were close, but when they left the stage, no one knew what they did. We could never leave the stage, metaphorically speaking. Still can’t. Still on that stage. That will follow us around forever.
More important than anything else is the look on people’s faces when you cross paths with them in the street, or in the store, or in the grocery line. You can always tell that you were—maybe still are, maybe always will be—a part of their family. Movies have this thing where it’s an event. You get dressed up, you go to dinner, and you go to the movies. You’re outside of your element. But with television, people are watching you in bed, at their kitchen table eating. You’re in their house.
I did not want it to end.
This is the line that has gotten me through life.
Goodbye Gossip Girl!
❞We’re all so fortunate to have been on a show that’s been not such a success publicly, but such a success personally, we’ve all had such a great positive experience. Shooting at the streets of New York every day together for 6 years, it does make people feel like a family, especially since our cast was so young when we started. It’s been a huge portion of my growing up personally and professionally. We’re all very excited to see what’s next for ourselves and for each other. We learned who we were together. I know that it has changed my life in a lot of ways, but it hasn’t changed me. It’s only made me appreciate everything else in my life. I’ve taken away so much from Gossip Girl, I’ve had so many amazing memories. It’s sad that it’s coming to an end, but we’ve had just a blast.❞
